A true incident

Been quite long a time since i updated my blog. I really wanted to share this incident with all whom i know.
Me and my colleague were out for lunch at Rajasthani. We started discussing about our final bills in a site office which was almost coming to an end. It is when he started talking about our Team lead's love and affection towards pet animals.
Way back in 2005, there was heavy downpour in chennai. There was a dog (stray dog) which actually laid puppies infront of team lead's office. The stray dog died during the delivery stage and so sad that the puppies got no nourishment for its mom and almost everything died excepting two. Team lead immediately took those two puppies and they were almost dying. Actually Team Lead is an italian by birth and he has been staying in India for last 8yrs. Coming back to the story, Team Lead took care of the two stray puppies and he took them to hospital to save their lives.
Sources told me that he spent thousands of rupees for the two puppies. Finally he saved those two puppies and decided to keep it with him . I heard he bought a cot and a bed for the two dogs. They used to even come to his office along with him and never used to listen to anyone's commands excepting his. I used to really get scared to go to Team Lead's office incase i need any documents. Time went by and every summer the dogs used to get rashes on their skin and our TL again never minds to spend thousands of rupees on it.
Last week, say on 22nd April 09, TL's contract with the clients came to an end. He was rewarded for successfully completing his projects. He was away from his wife and son for almost 8yrs and now is the time for him to return to his mother land. TL was so happy indeed. But at the same time, he was luking at those two doggies which was taken care by him..
Our TL thought for a long time and he decided upon one thing. He immediately spoke to the immigration and arranged for series of medical tests for the dogs to be declared fit enough to travel to another nation. After spending stupendous amount on it, he decided to take the dogs with him to Italy. 30th april 09 the dogs are travelling to italy ......I was dumb struck when my colleague told me this. Trust me we couldnt eat our lunch further. We were like "nammaku ellam OC la yaarum oru idly kuda thanthathu illa...anga paaru antha two stray dogs goin to Italy...pesama namma antha naaya porakalam"....then he later added "pesama naay vesham podalama???night oda nightA antha rendu naaya thukkitu, namma poi anga ukkaralam..we shall bark like dogs...we will practise well go ...namma passport illama italy pogalam"................we just then realised, ithellam comedyA pesa vena nalla irukalam...
i saw this issue in two angles...the amount of love TL has for his pet animals and other angle was Neram nalla iruntha, sori naay kuda Italy pogalam....neram nalla illaena, bungalow la irukara manushan ku oru single tea kuda kidaikaathu..this is life ......Sometimes, its hillarious..

THEEEE is a P*****

Now, dont think bad of me for using abusive language on this forum but am totally sorry that i couldnt control my tongue. I had a mixed feeling yesterday when i was forced to watch a torturous movie and I was sitting with my friends. In the afternoon, I got a call from my friend who was my batchmate in my GRE class. He wanted to meet me regarding admits and stuffs. Also asked me if we could go for a movie. He first suggested SARVAM and i was convinced. I opened satyam cinemas website to check if they have opened advance booking. The movie was not at all releasing this week. I just came across few movies that was running this week. The first thing that came to my vision was the movie THEE (super-duper masala venture by Sundar.C). I wonder who was ready to invest on Sundar.C and namitha.

Later, around 4.30pm i got a call from one of my friend. He asked me if i could join him for a movie that evening. I gave my consent after hearing that two others are joining. I never asked him about the movie. I accompanied one of my colleagues to a shop in kadar nawaz khan road to buy laptop. Since, he was new to the town and doesnt know much of tamil, i had to bail him out. After this, i went to the theatre. We went into studio-5, my most fav screen. Initially these stupid jewellary ads came. To my shock, after these commercials, we realised we were going to watch THEE. Oh my goodness, i thought for a sec that we must have entered the wrong hall. But, so unfortunate that we actually walked into the right ones. Me and 2 others who accompanied me for the movie, shot a bad look at the guy who got tickets and made this plan. The only reason i chose to stay back was, we had bought so much of snacks like nacho with salsa, caramel popcorn, vanilla eclair, chocolate eclair, minute maid pulpy orange etc. I thought i should finish all the snack before leaving the theatre. The movie was nothing but crap. First scene itself total damage. Sundar.C walking naked, ofcourse censoredly naked on the streets of chennai. A traffic policeman asks him why and he replies "I had a dream of clean and neat india with super politicians. I was so engrossed in it that i failed to even realise that someone robbed me off my dress"..........that point itself we almost fainted. So many sequences like this and the whole movie was composed of crappy dialogues and crappy songs. I guess, at this rate namitha will soon be out of focus. Oh my god, she looks terribly sick on the screen and she is just not huge but she is mammoth. how can i forget the music director srikant deva..our next oscar winner???habaaaaaaaaa

Then, there was a moment where the beloved hero gives a definition of secularism. "Hindustan petroleum la hindukal mattuma petrol podaranga, muslims podarthu illa? Akbar kasappu kadaila, muslims mattuma kari vaangaranga? hindus kari vaangarthu illa? After hearing this dialogue, we decided to move out. Three of us started walking out the cinema hall, after which the 4th one followed. We had sumptuous tiffin at ID (idly dosa) and then had gala time at BLUR. I was so engrossed in FIFA09 that i failed to see time and i only realised at 10.30 that i was playing. Immediately we pushed off, reached home and fortunately got no scoldings from amma for coming home so late. After telling her the name of the movie i watched, she herself pitied and left me :P

Yup, for the ignorants out there..paddu is a superb cool chap and an idiotic friend of mine...He celebrated his bday on 4th of march..shares his bday wit my cousin ragav...Paddu was leavin for mumbai on his bday..so i thought i cud give him a small surprise the day before..I got two temptation chocolates...went to this apartment..I called him(wit the notion of asking him to come down for a while and give him the chocolates) and to my dismay the phone was engaged for about 10 minutes..He did not call me back too..I dint know wat to do. So i called another friend of mine who was at paddu's place. He somehow managed to bring paddu down after making me wait for the idiot almost 10 minutes outside his apartment.. Infact his flat mates were shooting weird look at me after sometime..I gave both of them temptation chocolates. I know its not fair to expect even a single piece..They did wat i anticipated. Ate chocolates like glutton and came walking wit me till i reached home. Neverthless, i was happy to hear that paddu was overwhelmed when he got those chocolates from me :P... (i guess he is not kidding)..Guess what??? making a friend happy on his/her birthday is a great thing...Etho ennala mudinjathu...

Owing to tremendous success of the movie villu (i know am sarcastic), i dedicate this blog to explain the nuisances of the movie. The last time i wrote about kuruvi, i was laughin as to why i went to theatre to watch the movie. But trust me, this movie doesnt even deserve to be watched on dvd.

Enough of the hype about vijay. Oh my god, let him trust that people in TN are gettin matured with respect to movies and where the hell do they catch scripts??? Nayanthara deserves a better place in porn movies than movies given u/a rating...

i am not at all willing to continue..

Mumbaiiiii bleeds

I am not gonna talk in length about the whole issue... I can just say onething that Indians are bleeding and our country politicians suck to the core...

They have absolute disregard to safety of common man. Why is there a need for him/her to believe in our security, when those morons are provided with high level z-grade security???

Infact, atleast one politician at higher level should suffer the lose of his/her kith or kin in a struggle like this and i bet the whole bunch of morons will realise wat security actually means.

I have utter disregard for any god damn political party in this nation because, they care a shit for common man. They are bothered about accumulating wealth.

This is the only country which inspite of having humongous resources fail to safe guard them. Dont bother about them, they are busy accusing each other and also busy expanding their accounts in swizz bank whereas we sweat, toil and shed our blood to pay tax.

If the govt is really responsible, cut tax from citizens for a year after troubling us so much. Why blame those terrorist when we have enough hooligans and henchmen in the form of politicians?

Why blame pakistan, when our own country is bleeding with no proper governance?

I would prefer living in DR Congo or Sudan and die without food instead of the torturous death in the hands of these Terrorists.

Blame the government for minorty appeasement, quota and other nonsense which they brought into effect thinkin India is gonna prosper.

This country will never change as far as the morons who rule now are chucked or exiled. They are not even fit to live in this world. Not at all. Animals are far better.

I dont even feel like talking about this or sharing the incident. It is quite traumatising. A person sitting 1000km away could feel the pain and anguish. I wonder how the affected would feel. This incident would be haunting them for the entire period of their lives.

The 10 paise boon...

I know i have been boring people with my experience...Yet, i dont have anything much to write in my blog..blogs loaded with politics, cine news etc are more than enough that i dont have anything much to add.

Ok, when i was in college final year. I was having a postpaid connection. I know, we could hardly afford Rs.300 a month for mobile fones. Once my bill shooted upto 1k. I had to pay my bills in installments after cooking up enough stories at home. I decided to give up my postpaid connection and took up a new hutch prepaid. the monthly recharge was 200 bucks and the calls rates from 9pm to 9am was just ten paise. 100 messages free and wat more does a student need?
I took up tat plan. Then on, i got really naughty.. I used to play pranks wit my friends after 9pm. Once, it so happened tat i hardly could catch some sleep. So i started msgn the vetti ppl who were actually in my position. I got reply from a close frnd of mine. So i called him up immediately. He was kind of sleepy and was trying his level best to hold his sleep to talk to me.

Me: Hey wats up da?wat u upto?
him:I just finished preparing for my toefl tats scheduled tom (lazy tone)
Me: GREAT
him: so wat u upto?and y arent u sleeping?
Me:bored, am unable to sleep. i believe i overslept in class today.
him: neram di neram(time di time)
me:hehehe
him: so tell me something interesting.
me:ok, instead of tellin u something interesting, lemme ask u a question.
him:shoot...
me:listen its already late and i dont wanna bother u
him: if you arent planning a stuff like lord labak daas, then am totally fine wit ur questions
me: are u sure?
him: i will decide wat i should be doing after ur first question..
me: ok, i have a great doubt...Kosu kottavi viduma? (does a mosquito yawn?)
him:$%^**%&(%*()*@#$#
me: Good nite..all the best for ur toefl
I vaguely remember the time was about 2am :P
After his exams ,he came to college looking for me..Rest u guys can guess...

I dont know how many of them are scared of darkness, but am. I was pretty normal about these paranormal stuffs till i visited cochin last week. My boss wanted me and my colleague to go on an official visit to cochin port to collect reports from two projects there.

We landed there on 31.10.08 morning and our office cab picked us up. We were taken to the office guest house. I was given a nice cozy room with tv. After having a cup of tea, i had my bath. We had a super breakfast prepared by the cook in the guest house. I should seriously appreciate that fellow coz he cooked yummyyy dishes. After having our breakfast, we started from our guest house around 10am.

After a long tiring day at the site, we got back to the guest house. I went to my room changed my dress and started watching tv. I just came out once to ask my cook to get one pack maggy for the next day's breakfast. My colleague knocked my door and said he would go out for a while. By the time, the cook had come back. I ensured that i wasnt alone in the guest house.

There were actually three office people and a cook in the guest house. Another senior person was expected around 8.30pm. Around 8pm my colleague got back to the guest house. We were just talkin for sometime. The time was 8.30pm and our senior did not arrive. I told my colleague that i would go to my room and watch tv till the senior comes. Meantime, my colleague also got back to his room.

Around 9pm, i heard a loud bang. Someone was actually banging my door and not even knocking. I initially thought it was my colleague playing some pranks. So, i got up to open the door. When i opened, i found none outside my door. My colleague meanwhile came out of his room and asked me "why did you bang my door like this?"...I was first perplexed. So we both decided to check if our senior had come. But he did not arrive at that time. We asked the cook. He said, he has been in the kitchen for last half an hour. We asked him if some one came. He said the main door is locked and noone can enter.

The actual trepidation started then. I started feelin so bad. I could feel fear running through my spine. I stared at the clock. Around 9.15pm, door bell rang. Our senior just entered. We were just casually speaking. I told him about the incident. He said he has been living in the guest house for last 6 months so no fear. By the time, he could finish this statement, lights went off. There was a power cut.

I was hell scared then. I started reciting slogams and was praying god like never before. Once, the power was restored, we decided to hit the sack. I started watching tv to keep away the fear. I was watching tv till 11pm. I was feeling extremely sleepy yet i couldnt sleep. Trust me, i dint sleep for a minute the whole night. After a lot of tv watching, i saw my watch and the time was 5.30am. Sun started rising and i got a new hope. After few minutes, I was able to hear the tv sound that was placed in the lounge. I immediately got up from my bed. I brushed my teeth, took bath and came out for hot tea and breakfast. I was waiting to eagerly to check out of the guest house. The same evening we had train around 7pm. I packed my bags and asked my colleague not to get back to the guest house and leave to station directly from the site office. Habaaaaaaaaa..........spookiest night in my life.

How the hell could he leave nayanthara? :P

Weird dreams arent a new stuff to me. I always get irrelevant, weird and utterly foolish dream sometimes. ya, comin to the dream i had yesterday nite, i was laughin abt it even after coming to office.

Yesterday night, my bro packed his backs to Chennai. He stays in mumbai. I called him up to find out where he was and stuff. His flight was scheduled at 10pm, but i guess it did not start on time. I was bloody hell tired due to my expedition in rain and i hit the sack early. I, suddenly woke up around 1pm, messaged my bro, asking where he was. He replied, that he just landed few minutes before and was gettin back with his friend in the car. I asked which frnd and stuff and dozzed off again. He had mentioned the guy's name in the msg and that was the last msg i read before sleeping.

I had a dream that my brother was existing in the next portion of our apartment (just opposite to ours. Actually, he resides in mylapore. :P). Me and him with couple of his friends decide to go out to some place. His friend, assume X, brings his girl friend. Oh my god, she was none other than the gorgeous actress nayanthara.

Now, dont ask me the connection. I dont know, why she came in my dream that too as a girl friend of my friend's bro.
X gives us all an intro. The girl, assume she is Y, in the form of nayan wasnt actually an actress, she was just another girl. The girl and me became friends eventually. One day, there is a big fight between the girl Y and the guy X. It so happened that the girl pleaded me so much to convince X to speak to her. I speak to my brother about it and he says he will somehow make X to speak to me first. X comes to my bro's place and i signal my bro. My bro gives clearance and i go to X and say "can i have 2 min of ur time?"....X is so furious that he says "Look, i will give u 30 seconds..Tell me wat all u can say to convince me to speak to Y. I cannot extend time at any cost"...I get so scared that i say "Ni ithu sollavae, 30 seconds eduthutta, na inimael pesa enna iruku?"(if you take 30 seconds to just say this, then what more can i talk?)....I just give a furious look at my bro and my bro hides his face.

X starts shouting at my bro. Says "Ennada, un thangachi ku enna da urumai iruku enna convince panna? (what right does ur sis have to convince me), avala velaya paathuttu poga sollu da"(ask her to mind her business). My bro somehow pacifies him. The girl Y, keeps crying to me always and asks me to convince X. I give an idea to Y askin her to visit X at his office. I say "That is the best place because X wont shout at u". Now Y goes to see X at office and the effort again goes vain. Suddenly i hear a sound of calling bell, i see that it was nothing than my alarm ringing sharply in my ears.

Today morning, I was so curious to call up my bro to narrate this dream. But, i knew he would be sleeping and dint wanna bother him. I first messaged him to find out if he was awake. I got a reply and i immediately called him and narrated the whole incident. He was laughing uncontrollably. He said "it partially reflects the attitude of my friend". He also added that "Adi paavi, en friend kandipa intha madri oru ponnu kitta ellam kochuka maatan. ( my friend really wont get angry at a beautiful girl like this). But why the hell did you not dream about a girl friend for me?, how could u dream about a girl frnd for my friend?" (irony is, I dont even know him. I dont even know how he looks). I replied, "Iam weird and my dreams are the most weirdest of all".
I know its weird to dream of a girl friend for my bro's friend instead of dreaming for my bro. But, hell who knows wat ur dream is composed of?As far as am concerned, its totally out of my control. Wish my bro's frnd really gets a good luking girl like nayan :P. I will adopt occlumency from then on.. :P

Yesterday, around 9am i started from home, the sun was shining bright up in the sky and no signs of rain, as a result, I left my umbrella at home. Just another day i thought and was travellin in a bus to office. Everything was perfect till 12noon, after that, the sky got a lill dark and it was getting darker in the afternoon. I just peeped out of the window to see that the raindrops were pretty big and the drizzle was more than a drizzle. All of sudden, it started pouring like someone was pouring water from heaven with a huge bucket. After 5 minutes, i could find streams on the road and knee deep water gushing all over.

I took special permission from my manager to leave early as i found no signs of the rain stopping. I took my office umbrella, walked to bus stop. To my horror, there was so much of crowd and the whole place was marooned. I was standing on the pavement and knee deep water just before the pavement. With a great difficulty, I caught a deluxe bus. Usually, I wait for a long time to catch a bus that is least crowded. But having seen the traffic scenario yesterday, I know I will not get a least crowded bus and if i wait, i will have to keep waiting. Atleast I was happy that i got into a deluxe bus, where the crowd was manageable.

I was not lucky enough to catch a seat. So many anxious and worried faces around me, calling up their loved ones and I, just called up my Dad and said "dad, I don’t know when I will reach home, ask amma to be cool". People gave a weird look. The bus was moving from bumper to bumper. With great difficulty, managed to cross koyembedu round about signal after 2hrs of expedition on the road(pity the bus driver). I totally lost my patience, as i was suffocating inside due to lack of oxygen.

I got off the bus, managed to catch an auto. He asked 80 bucks from koyembedu to kodambakkam. I was happy. I nodded, got into an auto and asked him to take a viable route that can reach me home faster. He took a left turn near Arumbakkam, took some kutti sandhu and finally he stopped infront of my house. I paid him 10 bucks extra for his extraordinary riding skills and presence of mind, otherwise I would have got stuck in vadapalani signal.. The situation was actually worse coz it was a friday evening + diwali time + heavy thunder showers. Ah, I was bloody damn hungry when i reached home. My mother had made appalam and rasam for me specially. I ate like a glutton, slept like a baby. Ofcourse, I was stuck in the same place today morning also. But it was not as bad as yesterday.

IMD forecast for the day

Yesterday morning (22.10.2008), I woke up and saw the sky was little gloomy. There was partial sunshine. I thought it was another day. With a bored look on my face, i started gettin ready for office. Suddenly there was a power cut and the sky was gettin really dark.
It started raining around 8.30am and was quite heavy. Usually, my street, no matter how it much rains, water logging will be very minimal. Yesterday, unsually, there was a swimming pool infront of my house. I called up my office immediately and said i will be coming only after the rain stops.
I waited for an hour. There was a mild drizzling and so i decided to start for my office. Actually day before yesterday (21.10.08) was declared a holiday for schools and colleges. As usual, there was little rainfall on tat day and it rained heavily yesterday.
With great difficulty, i reached office. In the evening, my parents were eager to watch suntv news to know about the weather forecast (Ya, i used to watch suntv news way back in 2005 to just listen to my exams gettin postponed due to heavy showers). I was warning them not to watch. Coz, whenever IMD says weather forecast on tv, I see that almost opposite of it happens. Yesterday, our dear beloved man who always comes on tv to forecast weather said there would be heavy showers for next two days. School will remain closed tommorrow owing to heavy downpour blah blah...Ya, today morning, the sun was out smiling bright.. I was sweating profusely, while waitin in the bus stop to catch my bus to office.
This reminded me of a scene in the movie thiruvilayadal arambam, where dhanush brings an umbrella to college inorder to protect shriya from rain. The sun wud be shining bright though. He gives the umbrella to shreya
Dhanush:"intha kodai inniku mazhai varum"(actually the sun would be shining bright)
She will smile and say "Eppadi sollara, kandipa mazha varathu.Eppadi veyyil adikuthu paaru".
After 10 seconds, it starts raining and dhanush brings umbrella for her(ofcouse, happens only in our cinemas).
shreya:"Eppadi sonna mazhai varumnu"..
Dhanush:"TV la sonnanga"
Shreya:"mazhai varumna"
Dhanush:"illa mazha varathunu".
Ya jovial stuff, but remains a fact though.

Expiry date of Tomato Ketchup.....

When i was in college, our gang used to hang out in one of my friend's place for combine studies. I used to go to her house jus for studying and there were two other guys who came for learnin lessons.
During 7th semester study holls, there was heavy downpour almost every evening. One fine evening, as usual, it was raining heavily. My friend's mom had made yummy sandwiches for all the 4 of us. There was no tomato ketchup at home. So me and other two guys decided to get one at the nearby grocery shop.
It was raining heavily.. With great difficulty we managed to go to the shop. We asked the shopkeeper for a small bottle of ketchup. He told us "pasangala en kitta oru bottle ketchup thaan iruku. mazhai naala saraku varala". (i have just one bottle of ketchup, coz of incessant rains, we have not purchased goods)
We were quite happy that atlst one bottle of ketchup was available. I remember tat day was the last day of the month. After buyin the ketchup, i saw the expiry date. It said best before november 1st 2005. We were seeing each others face. one guy said "dai machan vidu da, nalaiku thaane expiry date..namma innikae gaali panniruvom..ketchup illama sandwich saapda mudiyaathu mapi"(dude tom is only the expiry date rite?y do we retain the sauce till tom?we shall finish it by today itself)
With that ketchup bottle, we went home and had those yummy sandwiches. Guess wat ? we emptied the whole bottle of ketchup tat night itself. we could better say sandwiches for ketchup instead of ketchup for sandwiches.

OH my GOD!!!

I previously said (in another post) that my mom dislikes if i study too hard for an exam.. I usually hate to study hard, but i exceptionally worked hard for GRE and screwed it to the worst possible extend. The moment i entered the house, my mom found that i screwed my exam and she said those golden words again "Ni romba padicha..na sonnaen romba padikaathanu..ni enga ketta"....atlast, things happened like wat she said :(....
i screwed my GRE..infact i cancelled the scores :(
Anyways, padipu varala nu feel pannara jaathila na porakala...i will surely work less and score more the next time :)

Vijay tv started the trend of telecasting english movies ofcourse translated in tamil. I generally skip these programs, coz i really dont have the patience to watch a movie on television. Once, me and ma cousin were totally jobless. Just came across a program about review of Shanghai knights in suntv.
Initially, i was against the attempt to watch but when we started watching the reviews, i bet we would have never laughed this much if we had watched the english version.
As far as Jackie Chan was concerned, he was speaking normal tamil. I mean a decent slang. Owen wilson was actually speakin in local "madras tamil"... he was like innada, thoda blah blah.
A scene goes like this. Jackie chan introduces lucy liu (i guess his sister in the movie) to owen wilson, owen wilson gives a crazy reaction. Tamil translation was so "Machi dai, un thangachi superrrrr figure ma. Cha ippadi oru super figure unaku thangachi nu na sollavae illa." What a crazy translation was that? Me and my cousin were laughing our ass out.
owen wilson and jackie chan under disguise, (like some ambassador of some country) goes for an embassy meeting. Owen wilson goes to the head chef to enquire about the dish kept on the table. Eskooose me "intha pathartham paeru inna?"....That guy blabbers something in some crap language. Our thala says to jackie "dai ivan padhartham paeru sollaraana, illana nammala ketta vaarthaila thittaraana? kettu sollu machi". It proved a great entertainment for me and ma cousin that day.
On the similar lines, some famous dialogues which were intended to be serious but happened to be a joke.
Jurrasic park, "antha prani enna thorathuthu"
Shanghai noon movie, cowboys in texas speak Thirunalveli tamizh :P
Exorcist(unfortunately i watched the tamil version of the movie witout knowin the fact that it was tamil.)
"Antha paey enna thorathuthu"
Spiderman II telecasted in suntv some days back...
Inshort, all movies on suntv during weekends.
Of all, i wouldnt mind watching all Jackie chan movies in Tamil. Hope i get the collections soon...i bet it proves to be a better entertainment than watchin it in English.

SWAT cats

One day i was so idle unlike other days, i was so bloody restless. Google's one of the greatest tool youtube is always there to make somberis to somberiyest...so i opened youtube and was thinkin abt the topic. All of a sudden, swat cats cartoon flashed thro my mind. I was watchin few video clippings of it. After watching few vadivelu comedies and stuff i decided to hit the sack.
It is very unusual if i dont get dreams when i sleep. Even if i nap for 10 min in the afternoon, i get dreams. I was dreaming about flying a jet. All of a sudden, i realised that i had co-pilots. One was T-bone(swat cats character) and another was Razor (another character). Oh my God, i couldnt believe. We were chasing someone, i vaguely remember it was the dark man. It was so exciting as i was targetting the enemy and checking the accuracy to launch a misile on the enemy's flight. i was sweating profusely out of excitment and there was a sudden jerk. I got up and realised that i was actually sweating profusely. I indeed got disappointed to realise that it was just a dream. I thought flying is exciting, i shud experiment in real life once and got back to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......... ;)

My parents always had a very strong confidence on me with respect to my acads. No matter how playful am, no matter how notorious, they know that i allocate needed time for studies. This was indeed happening to me only till about 9th std. After i came to 10th class where i have to face my board exams, they started showing a lill concern. Constant pampering, irritating advises all of a sudden, bugged me. Initially, i got a lill irritated, later never gave heeds to what they said and started moving on. I am basically a person who never cares what others say and i will achieve when it is needed for me. Be it sports or anything for that matter. Even while going for shuttle matches, i decide whether i have to win or lose. If i dont have the passion to win, i just give a damn to it no matter how much people elucidate the importance.

I never scored big in my 10th board exams. Just scored 84% with some constant attempt for last 10 days during my study holls. I was bold and clever enough to omit a unit in physics and also in chemistry. I never studied geography till my study holls. It was during that period, i realised geography portion was mammoth sized.

My parents judged my effort in the beginning stage itself. My father's instincts were quite strong and said i would score somewhere around 70%. At one point, stopped bothering me coz they realised no matter how much they insist, i wont listen. They were quite overwhelmed when my dad's friend said i have scored well.. Till then they werent even ready to believe that i scored 84%. Seeking admissions in a better school was a cake walk.

My 11th grade went off well with lots of sports and fun. Ofcourse i fell sick after a trip to bangalore for which i dint attend 60 days :P and yet i managed to scrap thro' 11th local board exams.

My mother advised me to take 12th std seriously. Ok, i really dint realise this coz of her advise, but on the note of personal satisfaction i started opening my books in the early stage. No matter how hard i tried, i never scored well. I really got pissed coz for the effort i put, it was really annoying to see such low scores. Infact i scored better in my 11th grade. I was screwing up my models as well. Then came the board exams. The English papers, language papers as usual went on well coz there was no need to break my head with concepts. I was left free to crap stuff on my own words.

The day arrived, i was facing physics the first main subject. Dint really put in lots of effort, i faired out well. Scored about 195. The two days leave given to me was fully utilised for everything except studying.

Next came chemistry and as usual i did the same thing which i did for physics as well. The ever dreading subject mathematics was one of the biggest night mares for me coz i was and i am very famous for silly mistakes like 2+5 = 6. I was breaking my head for 3 days. Wrote the exam. Results proved that it is surely not good if i study hard. Believe me, i scored 195 in physics, 199 in chemistry and just 180 in mathematics after having loaded the entire effort on it.

So now, my mom has started having a perception that if i work hard, i lose. She often says..Dont study too much, you wont fair well. 4 years of engineering went on like this. When my parents ask me you have nothing to do? i just say, mom trust me. Never favour when i study too much. Now, i am gonna take up my GRE. After seeing the consistant effort i put, my mom has started advising against studying too much. When i was into a conversation with my friend about quants and verbal, all of a sudden my mom says "Ava romba padicha, romba kevalama perform pannara pa". hehehe..Funny isnt it?? She says dont react too much and write what you know. "ni romba padicha seri pattu varathu, therinjatha poi ezhudhu superA mark varum"...Is tat some kinda moral booster???am perplexed.

Valentine's day....crap

I know its not the time to write about Valentine's day. Would have been appropriate, if i had chosen this topic around 14th of Feb. But who cares, i can write anything coz its my world. Yeah back to the topic, am not a supporter of this culture. I feel, this day is celebrated to boost the business of flourist, greeting card sellers etc. Well, you should listen to weird stories of having different meanings for different colors worn on tat particular day. Seriously speaking its all crap.
The due importance given to our culture like celebrating Diwali, pongal is becomin a history. Well, i could find ppl who could just watch TV with all special programs on queue
Why is this day celebrated? I have absolutely no clue. Loving your loved ones everyday is not your duty? Why is that you need a day to show how much you love them. Neverthless, useless satellite channels potray this day as one of the biggest day in a year. Chappani calls up myl to express his love over a phone call in a music channel. Ofcourse there is a slide running below showing love compatability between two ppl. Oh my god, doesnt that sound crazy ? You should see the rush in restaurants and hotels. Special dining, special cuisine blah blah advertising in all forms to lure the customers and enjoy great business.
Next, those road side romeos waiting in public places with a red rose and a greeting card in hand, waiting to give to a girl who they hardly know. They would have seen the girl in tat particular bus stop for quite sometime. Ya, it happened to me personally. I was being followed by a guy till college for sometime and this was never known to me untill he dropped a gift package in my auto while i was goin to college on feb 14th morning. I initialy thought it was misidentity.. Later i realised, my name was written on it. I read the contents of the greeting card and found the name of the guy was not at all associated with ppl i meet day to day. He doesnt belong to my college, not associated with friends outside college, yet wanna express his feelings without knowing who i am. I knew he was out of his brains and had nothing worthy to do in life. I passed on the gift pack to one of my frnds who inturn unwrapped, put a new wrap and gifted the same to one of his friends for his birthday. I know its seriously stupid on my part to misuse the gift, neverthless, the guy deserves it for doing a foolish act like this.
Similarly the next year, same day me and my friends had been to a restaurant after a tiring day out in college for having lunch. I could see a guy with a guitar in his hand and a blushing girl, sitting infront of him. I really have no clue, why he was trying to act like Santana or may be any big shot from famous music band. He was holding the guitar, singing a song for the girl. The worst part of it was, he was singing one particular line from a song for abt 25 times. Imagine the plight of us. We already had a tiring day at college after struggling with the symposium works. We had come there for Aircon effect and we got stuck in a mess like this. We were fuming, i finally decided to call upon the manager to ask these guys to shut their mouth for sometime. Infact, i developed hatred for that song and till date i dont hear it, change the channel that plays this song.
As far as i am concerned, there are better things in life and wasting money, time and energy for crap like is not worth it. Infact, i hate not only days like this, but also mother's day, father's day blah blah. We are born in a country, where parents are to be treated supreme to GOD. Arent we supposed to realise that everyday is mother's day and everyday is father's day? After all, they sweat, toil and struggle to bring us up. There is no need to remember them or highlight them on a particular day. Praising them and keep them happy everyday is our routine. I wish, we realise this soon and give importance to what is needed in life.

Missing sis a lot.....

My sister recently got married. I know life has to go on but sometimes when am alone in my room (the room which i used to share it with my sis before), i kinda get an empty feeling. Its really kinda hard to digest especially during the evenings. From june to aug, evenings were fun coz on the pretext of marriage preparation, me and her would go out and shop every other day. Even if we dint have anything to get, we go to the IN & OUT retail to catch two packs of amul masthi dahi, drink it on the way and come home relaxed.
We used to fight for my laptop, untidy table, dinner and TV. She listens to hindi songs and i give real abusive comments, she really gets wild and fight starts. Everytime, when i come to use the lappy, she will bug me saying, i need to check my mails. I would stubbornly reply nopeeeee...u do it later. She curses me for that and i used to enjoy it. Now, the laptop is lying idle. I dont have anyone to fight, yet i miss the whole fun. She was the entertainment quotient of my home. Keeps talking about boring topics(interesting for her) to me. End of it, i would simply say "Were you talking to me?". She would gimme a tight slap.
Am missing the entire fun and those moments shared with her totally. Though we were tom and jerry, I miss her totally. I know life has to go on and one day i have to leave this place and its not too far. :(

Almost saw my dead grandpa

It was a beautiful morning.I was waiting for my friend Ashwin, for both of us to go Ramachandra Hospital. He agreed to donate blood for my friend. Well few words about Ashwin, he is a professional biker. Rode from kashmir to kanyakumari in bike. Chennai to bangalore, sunrise to sunset in his bike. Got lots of similar records to his credits. So imagine me travelling with a guy like him in his bike to Porur which is supposed to be one of the buzzing places in chennai especially in the morning, due to concentration of markets.
The ride was like roller coaster ride. Ashwin said he was riding normal. But my pulse was racing 82times a minute. We were just 5 minutes away from the destination. Ashwin was geared to his creative zen and i suddenly noticed a guy speakin to both of us in the local language. I intially thought he was speakin to someone else and ignored him. Again he came close to our bike and said "Enna ungalukku mattum thaan road la vandi ippadi ellam otta theriuma?". Since Ashwin was listening to music, he dint realise wat the guy said. But he asked me and i had to tell the truth. Ashwin was fuming but left the issue.
He was just riding the normal ashwin way of riding(abnormal and unearthly for me) and suddenly a bike overtook us. It was none other than the guy who challenged us in signal. That guy was riding a pulsar 180cc engine. Ashwin just had a 100cc star city with a pillion rider.
Ashwin is a determined guy and nothing can influence his attitude once he fixes what to do. Unfortunate for me that Ashwin had to face the race. He got pretty close to the guy and overtook him near porur lake and slowed down a bit show tat he achieved. But the guy took advantage of it and overtook ashwin again. Ashwin really got furious this time and he gave no heeds to my repeated request to stop the risky game. Ashwin ofcourse beat the guy way behind and took a steep turn into Ramachandra Hospital and that guy was nowhere in the sight. We waited to see the guy pass the place. Ashwin was happy....I almost saw my dead grandpa smiling from heaven wavin a big HI to me. When i got down off his bike, i checked if i was alive.
Travelling with ashwin is safe..as long as the ride does not give you a heartattack...
